Mnweni
Start and finish at Mnweni Hiking and cultural centre, Northern Berg.

Itinerary.
Get those legs warmed up and the body acclimatised with a +-10 to 15 km (600m elevation gain) meander up the Mnweni River valley, with breath taking views of the escarpment. We are spending the day along the river, so if it is hot, expect a swim along the way.
A gradual climb along the river leads us to the base of Mnweni Pass (Great spot to chill out for a few minutes and soak in some of natures’ finest mountain peaks).
Now for the climb up Up Mnweni Pass. You will be required to climb approximately one vertical kilometre within about 4 km’s.
We will then camp near Mponjwane Cave
Total for day 2 : +- 12km Hike with 1200m vert gain.
NOT AN EASY DAY – Especially with our overnight packs!
Coffee and Breakfast on the edge of the escarpment with an incredible sunrise.
Then for the Technical/Rocky descent down Rockeries Pass.
We will stop along the river and set up camp for the night.
+-7km easy river walk along the river.
We will then be collected by shuttle service and be transported back to Mnweni Hiking Centre.
